New Round of Selection for Young Talents by Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering (CSRME)

The Youth Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program (hereinafter referred to as "YESS") is a talent cultivation project initiated and implemented by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) in 2015. The selected candidates, through the annual grant of 150,000 RMB, would be cultivated for three consecutive years. For further cultivating and building a reserve team of high-level innovative talents in the field of rock mechanics and engineering, the CSRME launched the Fifth Youth Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program between January and April 2020. Ten youth talents out of 41 candidates were admitted to the program upon two rounds of online and conference evaluations. The successful launch of the new round of "YESS" project will further advance the reserve and rapid growth of young talents in rock mechanics and engineering throughout China.
