The ARMS11 Papers Has Been Officially Published Online

On October 28, 2021, the papers presented at the 11th Asian Rock Mechanics Symposium were officially published online by IOP Publishing (IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science) (Volume 861, 2021). The URL is https://iopscience.iop.org/volume/1755-1315/861.

The papers were received from 26 countries and regions covering 25 topics, including 1084 abstracts and 800 with full text. Finally, 663 papers were accepted. A total of 82 papers were submitted from foreign countries. There were 28 guest editors and 672 reviewers (109 foreign experts) from 34 countries and regions participated in the review, and an average of 2.1 comments were made for each paper received. Most of the papers were polished in English in response to the comments.

After discussion by the organizing committee of the ARMS11, a working team headed by Mr. Xie Xiongyao, Chairman of the Youth Working Committee and Professor of Tongji University, was established for combining accumulated experience to fully reflect the international and academic characteristics of the ARMS11, organize 28 young and middle-aged talents and scholars active in the field of rock mechanics and engineering to serve as guest editors, improve the organizational structure, clarify job responsibilities, and implement the working plan. To ensure that the accepted papers have significant academic value, the team in charge of call for papers designed a website for paper submission/review according to the international journal review system, and improved related functions to track and manage the whole process of paper collection, review, publication, EI/ISTP retrieval, and strictly implement the paper publishing process for high-quality completion.
