"Dynamic Rock Fracture Simulation: Methods and Applications"Academic Lecture Held

The academic lecture "Dynamic Rock Fracture Simulation: Methods and Applications", co-sponsored by Rock Dynamics Professional Committee of CSRME and Mechsoft Technology (Dalian) Co., LTD, was successfully held at 7:00 pm on June 10. The keynote speakers were Prof. Tang Chun'an of Dalian University of Technology and Dr. Liao Zhiyi, a postdoctoral fellow of Shenzhen University. The presenter is Prof. Huang Lixing, the secretary-general of Rock Dynamics Professional Committee.
Prof. Tang Chun'an first reviewed the history of rock failure mechanism research and rock dynamics research, and elaborated the theory of RFPA numerical simulation method with one idea, two experiences and three theories. Then, he introduced the application of RFPA dynamic analysis method in the study of rock dynamic fracture mechanism with several examples, and demonstrated the application of the method in engineering with the example of dynamic and static combination analysis. His report finally revealed the effect of seismic peeling by stress wave reflection and its significance for post-earthquake reconstruction. And Dr. Liao introduced the interface and main functions of RFPA2D Dynamic Analysis Software in detail, and demonstrated the operation process and analysis method of RFPA2D Dynamic Analysis Software with three calculation examples.
The cloud lecture was actively supported by the members of Rock Dynamics Professional Committee, and many experts and scholars attended the activity. The cloud lecture was very effective, with 300 participants at the beginning. Thanks to the live broadcast of "Miners", more audiences were able to participate.
