CSRME Held the 2020 Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Review Meeting

The 2020 Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Review Meeting was successfully held by the CSRME in Beijing Xijiao Hotel on September 20, 2020. 9 authoritative experts in the field of rock mechanics and engineering attended this review meeting. Professor Du Shigui, the Vice President of the CSRME, served as the president of the review meeting. Professor Du Xiuli and Professor Wang Yuan, the executive directors of the CSRME, served as the Vice President. This review meeting was presided over by Professor Wang Jin'an, the Secretary-General of the Education Working Committee. Professor Yang Xiaojie, the Secretary-General of the CSRME, gave an important report at the meeting.

By July 20, 2020, CSRME has received a total of 25 doctoral dissertations recommended by the Education Working Committee and other local societies.

According to the requirements of the "Notice on the selection of Excellent Doctoral Dissertations 2020" and the "Reward Measures for Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award" issued by the CSRME, after applicant's defense (video PPT), expert review and voting, 10 dissertations were selected for the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award. Among them, 1 dissertation was selected as a candidate paper to apply for ROCHA Medal.
