The Lecture of China's Self-developed Software in Geotechnical Engineering Was Held in Shaoxing, China

The lecture of China's self-developed software in geotechnical engineering, was successfully held at Shaoxing, China on December 23, 2020. This is one event of the Shaoxing International Forum on Rock Mechanics and Engineering Geology. More than 150 representatives from universities and industries gathered together to discuss and exchange the cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements of China's software.

This lecture was organized by the Geological Engineering Technology Committee (Preparatory) of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRME), IAEG China National Group, Engineering Geology Commission of Geological Society of China (GSC), and Shaoxing University.

A total of 10 Chinese geotechnical experts were invited to introduce their software. During the lecture, Professor Tang Chunan talked about "RFPA: From Principle, Method to Software", Professor Li Ning talked about "Fast Analysis System for Tunnels", Senior Engineer Feng Chun talked about "GDEM Mechanical Analysis Series Software And Genvi Ecological Numerical Simulation Platform", Professor Chen Xin talked about "Large Deformation Mechanical Analysis Software For Deep Soft Rock Engineering", Professor Pan Pengzhi talked about "Development and Application of Localized Analysis Method and Casrock Software For Failure Process Of Engineering Rock Masses", Associate Professor Liu Chun talked about "Matrix Discrete Element Method and Matdem Software Development and Application", Associate Professor Xu Wenjie talked about "Coupling Simulator Based on Physical And Mechanical Process - COSIM", Professor Chen Yumin talked about "FLAC Localized Constitutive Model Development and Engineering Application", and Professor Ouyang Chaojun talked about "Numerical Simulation Software of Surface Dynamic Process - Massflow Application and Secondary Development". These lectures comprehensively show the outstanding software achievements related to rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering in China.

Academician He Manchao (China University of mining and technology, Beijing), Professor Tang Huiming (China University of Geosciences), Professor Tang Chunan (Dalian University of Technology), Professor Li Shihai (Institute of mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Professor Yang Qiang (Tsinghua University), and Professor Wu Faquan (Shaoxing University) commented on the reported software respectively.

This lecture provided an academic feast for the majority of scientific and technological workers in the field of geotechnical engineering, and made a positive contribution to further promote the technological innovation and realize the ecological construction and development of domestic software in China.
