CSRME launched "Cloud Lecture of Rock Mechanics and Engineering"

On May 20, 2020, the Cloud Lecture of Rock Mechanics and Engineering  was officially launched by the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRME). This activity was co-organized by the "Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering". Many experts and scholars in the field of rock mechanics and rock engineering will be invited to make academic presentations to share their original  theoretical and  practical experience in major engineering projects. All the lectures will be live online. Beyond that, CSRME will carry out multi-channel publicity on our official website and WeChat official account. 

For the first lecture, Professor Manchao He from the China University of Mining and Technology was invited to make a presentation on the topic of "Energy-gathered Roof Cutting Technology and Stress Field Evolution of Surrounding Rock". This lecture mainly introduced the historical development, the energy-gathered roof cutting technology, the stress field evolution of surrounding rock, and the applications in mining engineering. In particular, he introduced the successful application cases of the energy-gathered roof cutting technology in 110/N00 mining method. This technology has significantly enhanced the mining safety and economic benefits. 

This cloud lecture received positive comments from the attendees. The cumulative number of views on the online platform reached 36,654.
