The First "Yalin Forum" was successfully held

On April 13-14, 2021, The Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRME) successfully held the First "Yalin Forum".

Academician Manchao He, the President of the CSRME, was the convener of this "Yalin Forum". Professor Xiaojie Yang, the Secretary General of the CSRME, presided over the opening ceremony. A total of 59 experts and representatives from the railway construction line and related research institutes and universities attended this forum, including the General Manager Yong Zhao, Senior Engineering Siming Tian, the Deputy Commander Wenqiang Zhang, Master Guoliang Li, Deputy Chief Engineer Liangwen Jiang, Chief Engineer Guozh u Yang, Senior Engineer Kairong Hong, Chief Engineer Jinlin Xu, Professor Xiwei Xu, and Professor Chun'an Tang.


During the Forum, Yong Zhao delivered a report entitled "Challenges and Suggestions for the Construction of Yalin Railway", and introduced the general situation of the tunnel project and corresponding countermeasures. Guoliang Li, the Chief Engineer of China Railway Tunnel Group Co., Ltd., Kailong Hong, the Chief Engineer of China Railway Tunnel Group Co., Ltd., Professor Quansheng Liu from Wuhan University, Professor Qi Wang from Shandong University, Professor Hehua Zhu from Tongji University, Professor Bin Shi from Nanjing University and other experts respectively gave reports on the topics related to railway tunnel construction. The participating experts fully discussed the scientific and technical problems in railway tunnel engineering.
