Professor Manchao He was elected as a Foreign Member

of Academy of Mining Sciences (Russia)

Recently, Professor Manchao He received a certificate (No.1209-M) jointly signed by the President Yu. N. Malyshev and the Vice President A.V. Titova from the Academy of Mining Sciences (Russia), which certified that Professor Manchao He was elected as a Foreign Member of the Academy of Mining Sciences (Russia). 

On March 22, 2021, the Academy of Mining Sciences (Russia) officially sent a letter to Professor Manchao He. In view of his academic influence in the field of mining, especially rock mechanics, and his important position in mining safety and innovation, the Academy of Mining Sciences (Russia) sincerely invited Professor Manchao He to serve as a Foreign Member of the Academy of Mining Sciences (Russia). They also recommended him to serve as a member of Editorial Board for the scientific journal of "Mining Industry" to make greater contributions to the development of global mining sciences.

The Academy of Mining Sciences (Russia) was a trans-regional public organization registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on 28 October, 1993 and was recognized by the Department of Public Information of the United Nations (UN) as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO); It Had special consultative status in the Economic and Social Council under the ECE Commission on Sustainable Energy ("consultative status" is an important symbol of international recognition granted to a NGO by the United Nations). It brought together leading researchers and experts in the fields of mining, geology, the oil and gas industry, mineral and non-metallic reserves development. It aimed to accelerate technological innovation and development in the field of mineral deposits, promote the progress in the field of mine construction, mining science and technology, and speed up mining production efficiency.

This is another honorary title awarded to Professor He after he was granted a Foreign Member by the Argentine National Academy of Engineering in 2018.
