5 Experts from the CSRME won the 2020 National Science and Technology Award

On November 3, 2021, the National Science and Technology Award Conference was grandly held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. 5 members of the 9th board of our Society have been commended by the Central Committee and the State Council for their 5 achievements and won the 2020 National Science and Technology Award. Among them, two achievements won the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award, and three achievements won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. Two achievements: "Key pretensioned reinforcement technology with impact resistance for coal mine roadways" developed by the team of Academician Kang Hongpu, the vice president of the CSRME, from Tiandi Technology Co., Ltd.; and "Disaster simulation equipment for deep engineering in a complex environment and its key technologies and application" developed by the team of Academician Li Shucai, the executive director of the CSRME, from Shandong University, won the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award. Three achievements: "Key technology and equipment of energy absorption support for roadway rockburst control in deep coal mines", developed by the team of Professor Pan Yishan, the vice president of ISRM China National Team, from Liaoning University; "Key technologies and engineering application for the long tunnel with high-pressure and rich water in railway construction" developed by the team of Professor Ma Dong, a professor-level senior engineer and the executive director of the CSRME, from China Railway Sixteenth Bureau Group Co., Ltd. ; and "Key technologies for safe and efficient control of TBM tunneling in a tunnel (mine) in deep composite strata" developed by the team of Professor Liu Quansheng, the executive director of the CSRME, from Wuhan University won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
