Preparatory Meetings for the Sub-venues of China Rock 2022 Held Successively

Recently, the preparatory meetings for the sub-venues of the 19th China Rock Mechanics and Engineering Annual Academic Conference - CHINA ROCK 2022 have been held successively.
On the afternoon of March 29, 2022, the first preparatory meeting for the sub-venues of the 19th China Rock Mechanics and Engineering Annual Academic Conference - CHINA ROCK 2022 was successfully held in Guangzhou in the form of "offline + online". Mr. Zhu Weibin, Chairman of the Project Case Committee, presided over the meeting. Mr. Chen Jian and Ms. Su Xiuting from the Subsea Tunnel Engineering Technology Branch, and Mr. Lyu Jianzhong from the Tunnel Boring Machine Engineering Application Branch attended the meeting. At the meeting, they discussed the preparatory work for the sub-venues of the 19th China Rock Mechanics and Engineering Annual Academic Conference - CHINA ROCK 2022, and formed a collaborative work plan for the sub-venues from the discussion results. It was decided that the Project Case Committee, the Subsea Tunnel Engineering Technology Branch, and the Tunnel Boring Machine Engineering Application Branch would jointly undertake a sub-venue, and the Project Case Committee would play a leading role. With the theme of "Continuous Innovation, Boosting Development - Innovative Technology and Application for Solving Cutting-edge Challenges related to Composite Strata", the sub-venue will focus on innovative technologies, scientific research achievements, project cases related to focal and hot issues encountered in construction, survey, design, building, supervision, equipment manufacturing, and other industries.
On the morning of April 5, 2022, the first preparatory meeting for the 16th sub-venue of the 19th China Rock Mechanics and Engineering Annual Academic Conference - CHINA ROCK 2022 was successfully held "online". Professor Shi Bin, Chairman of the Geology and Geotechnical Engineering Intelligent Monitoring Branch, presided over the meeting. Mr. Wang Yuan from the Jiangsu Society for Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering and Mr. Zhu Honghu from the Geology and Geotechnical Engineering Intelligent Monitoring Branch attended the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Zhu Honghu, Secretary-General of the Geology and Geotechnical Engineering Intelligent Monitoring Branch, reviewed and summarized the relevant work for organizing the 14th sub-venue of the 11th Asian Rock Mechanics Symposium (ARMS 11), which was hosted by the branch last year, and briefly introduced the preparatory plan for the "3rd Symposium on Intelligent Monitoring of Geology and Geotechnical Engineering" held at the 16th sub-venue of the CHINA ROCK 2022. Associate Professor Cheng Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Branch, introduced the relevant content of the CHINA ROCK 2022 No.2 Notice issued by the CSRME. Subsequently, all the participants discussed the preparatory work for the 16th sub-venue, and initially formed a collaborative work plan for the sub-venue from the discussion results. It was decided that this sub-venue will be jointly sponsored by the Geology and Geotechnical Engineering Intelligent Monitoring Branch and the Jiangsu Society for Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering. With the theme of "Smart Geotechnology and Resilient City", the sub-venue will actively organize domestic and foreign representatives to conduct academic exchanges and discussions, and promote international cooperation and technological innovation in intelligent monitoring of geological and geotechnical engineering.
