The Second Preparatory Work Meeting for the Annual Academic Conference - CHINA ROCK 2022 was held by the CSRME

On June 11, 2022, the CSRME held a video meeting to exchange the progress on the preparatory work for the annual academic conference - CHINA ROCK 2022. The CSRME leaders including Academician Hongpu Kang, Professor Qiang Yang, and Professor Xiaojie Yang attended the meeting. There were 108 organization committee members who were the representatives of the 45 branches of the CSRME and the 8 commissions of the ISRM. The meeting was chaired by Professor Xiaojie Yang.

Dr. Zhuo Wang, the deputy secretary-general and the director of the academic development department, briefly reported the overall preparation progress of the annual academic conference in the following four aspects: review of the previous conferences, program of CHINA ROCK 2022 ; preparation progress; future preparation tasks. The characteristics of the annual academic conference in terms of internationalization, scale and integration are advanced in an orderly manner. Up to now, there are 28 sessions, 6 training courses, more than 2,500 participants, and more than 100 industrial exhibitions, which are planned to be held. 

The chairs of the 28 sessions reported their preparation progress in the three aspects: preparation progress, paper submissions and industrial exhibitions; and difficulties and problems.

At the meeting, the participants have a comprehensive understanding of the overall preparations for the annual academic conference and the 28 sessions, which is helpful to refine the work plan and make steady progress in preparations of the conference.
